LAHORE: Amid the fifth wave of the coronavirus epidemic in the country, pharmacies in Punjab are experiencing a severe scarcity of fever and anti-drugs.
Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister Punjab, directed the authorities to take stern action against individuals involved in the market shortage of medications.
According to Imran Sikandar Baloch, Punjab Health Secretary, there is no shortage of fever medicine in Punjab Punjab. He noted that the province still has 68.6 million tablets in stock.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, a spokesman for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), criticised the administration for the country's drug scarcity. While the country is experiencing its fifth coronavirus pandemic wave, the former information minister tweeted that the lack of a common fever-treating medication is "shameful."
She chastised the government, alleging that Prime Minister Imran Khan's administration has reduced opportunities for young people to find work, medical care for the sick, and fertiliser for farmers.
