ISLAMABAD: The Federal health ministry says the first two monkeypox patients reported in Pakistan last week have recovered from the viral disease.
According to the ministry officials, one of the patients, who had arrived from Saudi Arabia and was being treated at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, has been discharged after complete recovery.
Similarly, the other patient, who was quarantined at his home, is said to be in a stable condition after testing negative for mpox.
Earlier, Sindh health minister Dr Azra Fazl Pechuho had ruled out the detection of monkeypox cases in Karachi.
