KARACHI: Pakistan could meet the fifth wave of coronavirus in winter this year as people have stopped using facemasks, Dr Faisal has warned recently on a local TV show.
Dr Faisal Sultan, Infectious diseases physician and Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, said despite a reasonable vaccination rate, Pakistan could face another wave as people had settled without masks, and it was dangerous.
He said 150 million people in the country still need to be jabbed against coronavirus as these people were at most risk. He further added, we had to meet vaccination targets to restrict the COVID's fifth wave.
Dr Sultan urged people to get fully vaccinated as a second dose is vital for protection against COVID-19.
