FLORIDA: A dentist in Bonita Springs hired a dog as her dental assistant. It has become the only dog working as an assistant at an adult dental clinic in Southwest Florida.
Dr Toniann Conte hired a dog named Wyatt, who has been fulfilling his duties as an assistant and therapy dog for several months.
She said she had been in practice for 30 years and never had a partner, and then Wyatt became her partner in dentistry. She added that Wyatt had been sitting at patients’ sides and adding comfort to their exams for the past several months.
Dr Conte thought Wyatt had brought kindness to the office along with total innocence and love, and no one could beat that.
Her patients now have been making appointments quickly. According to one of her patients, the dog had helped him to reduce dental anxiety.
