By Our Staff Reporter Karachi: A meeting of Anti-corruption Committee. I held recently under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sindh, Muhammad Siddiqui Memon, considered a number of cases of officials of Health Department and decided to conduct an open enquiry against the officers concerned for violation of rules in respect procurement i.e. Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) Rules. Chairman ACE, Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, Secretary Services (SGA&CD), Jamal Mustafa Syed, Secretary Health, Dr. Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo and Director ACE, Nazar Muhammad Bozdar, attended the meeting held at the CS office. The officers against whom open inquiry was approved include Dr Khalid Bukhari & Dr Syed Hussain Ahmed of Sindh Government Hospital Korangi, Dr Abdul Shakoor Abbasi, MS. Sindh Government Hospital Saudabad, Dr Zakir Hussain of Rural Health Centre Tando Bago, Dr Abdur Rehman Sammo and Dr Sher Muhammad Soomro, Store Keeper Fazal Karim of Rural Health Centre Bulri Shah Kareem were found involved in procurement in violation of the laid-down rules. Similarly, Accounts Assistant of Sindh Government Hospital Saudabad is also included in open enquiry for similar charges. Cases of few other officers were also considered for violation of procurement of medicine and equipment.
