KARACHI: Police have registered a case against a staff nurse of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), Karachi when a female patient had to be put on a ventilator allegedly after she administered her a wrong injection.
The case was registered on the complaint of the husband of the patient, Ms Saba, a mother of three.
Her husband said Saba had a successful gallbladder surgery at the ASH, alleging that her condition deteriorated suddenly after she was administered a wrong injection in her vein by the nurse.
To save the woman’s life, the doctors immediately put her on a ventilator.
Sources say the ASH administration was reluctant to take action against the staff nurse.
