PMA condoles Dr Seemin’s death 

KARACHI: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) organised a condolence reference for late Hon Lt Col Dr Seemin Jamali, former executive director of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and a member of PMA Executive Committee. 

The event held at the PMA House was largely attended by doctors and members of civil society to pay tributes to their late medical professional, lauding her services for humanity.  

The reference was conducted by Dr Qazi Wasiq, ex-secretary general and member of the PMA Executive Committee, Karachi, highlighting the life and mission of Dr Jamali, saying she worked tirelessly beyond any religion, ethnicity, caste and class. 

PMA Karachi President Dr Sonia Naqvi said Dr Jamali was a hard worker, very dedicated and humane.

Dr Ismail Memon, Vice President, PMA Karachi, especially lauded her role during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dr Abdul Ghafoor Shoro, Secretary General, PMA Centre, said she would always remain alert and immediately responded to any emergency.  

Dr Qaisar Sajjad, PMA Centre former secretary general, said Dr Jamali worked with dedication and energetically.

Dr Shehla Naseem, Secretary College of the Family Medicine Pakistan, said Dr Jamali was a wonderful lady and had good qualities of head and heart.

Dr Tariq Mehmood, Director, JPMC CyberKnife Department, said she was like a family member and worked during a crucial period at the JPMC.

Dr. Lubna Baig, Ex-Dean, APPNA Institute, JPMC, appreciated Dr Jamali’s positive attitude towards her profession. 

JPMC Nursing College Principal Madam Khairun Nisa termed her a role model, saying Dr Seemin never showed any discrimination to nurses. 

Dr Tasleem Ahsan, ex-director of JPMC, said she was like a sister to her, regretting that Dr Jamali took care of everybody but ignored her own health.   

Dr Jaipal Chhabria said she was very dedicated and cooperative.

Senior journalists Mr Yasir, Akhtar Shaheen, and Siraj Amjadi also paid rich tributes to her.
