DentoScope: 3 MONTHS COURSE IN FIXED PROSTHODONTICS

DENTOSCOPE PAKISTAN ACADEMY FOR ADVANCED SKILLS DEVELOPMENT


The DentoScope Pakistan Academy For Advanced Skills Development, the only purpose-built Dental Simulation Academy in twin cities at Bahria Town, Phase 7, Rawalpindi, recently conducted a 3 Months training course in the specialty of Fixed Prosthodontics. The course is accredited by the University of Health Sciences, Lahore for 36 CME credit hours. The course started on 16th February 2019, and the last session was held on 14th April 2019. Dr Naveed Inayat (Assistant Professor, Islam Dental College, Sialkot) and Dr Syed Hammad Hassan (Associate Professor, Margalla Institute of Health Sciences, Rawalpindi) facilitated the course. 20 participants attended the course.

On 13th April (Saturday) at 9:00 am, the participants marked the attendance for the lecture session. Dr Syed Hammad Hassan delivered the lecture on IMPRESSION TECHNIQUES FOR CROWNS & BRIDGES. The lecture was followed by an interactive question and answer session. After the break, Dr Hammad demonstrated the steps for recording an impression using light body & putty elastomeric impression material. Following the demonstration, each participant performed the exercise on Phantom Heads under supervision. The session ended at 4:00 pm on Day 1 of the three-month course.

On the 2nd day, the session started at 9:00 am during which Dr Syed Hamad Hassan delivered the lecture on ALL CERAMIC CROWNS. The clinically oriented lecture covered all the aspects from basics to advanced techniques used in the fabrication of all ceramic crowns and bridges. The lecture was followed by a question and answer session. After a lavish lunch break, Dr Hammad Hassan demonstrated all the steps on Phantom Heads. Following the demonstration, each participant did the hands-on training on the phantom head stations allotted to them. Dr Hammad Hassan supervised the participants in the Hands-on Session.
