The first session of the course comprised of the basics and fundamentals of implants where participants were taught treatment planning, ridge mapping, and the surgical procedure for implant placement. Additionally, they were introduced to various implant systems and types that are currently being used. Extensive hands-on sessions were also carried out where participants were taught treatment planning, ridge mapping, and the construction of stents for implant placement. The participants practiced implant placement on bone models.
A live surgery was also performed during which participants could interact with Dr. Noor ul Wahab. For the first time, implants were placed through a 3D constructed surgical guide with pre-operative treatment planning completed through CBCT.
