Healthcare management system to establish in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:  Federal Healthcare Management Authority (FHMA) would be established in Islamabad to regulate primary and secondary health systems, Dr Faisal Sultan recently said while talking to the media.

Dr Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, visited the basic health unit in Pind Begwal and the population welfare office in Bhara Kahu. After that, he told the media that government would upgrade all basic health units of the city, hence proposing a bill to install FHMA to regulate primary and secondary health.

He believed that diseases could only be controlled and eradicated by strengthening the primary health system as vaccination and immunisation have also been a part of it.
Dr Sultan announced citizens would soon be able to avail health facilities at their doorsteps, which would help decrease the burden on tertiary-care hospitals.
