KARACHI: Principal, Dow Medical College, Prof Amjad Siraj Memon, clarified that the administration of the Dow University of Health Sciences had permitted an institution to organize a seminar to celebrate the World Contraception Day at Dow Medical College a few days ago, but the said institution violated the permission.
He added that the college had only permitted to hold a seminar for World Contraception Day while the stalls, which were placed in the college premises, were not allowed and were set up without bringing them into the knowledge of the DMC administration.
He said that the administration is looking into the matter and has also taken serious notice of the placement of inappropriate material on the stalls inside college premises. He further said that this was a violation of the DUHS permission and orders that were not adequately followed.
The DUHS is the premier institute that promotes education and awareness. The DUHS administration strongly condemns such behavior that has caused anguish in the students, staff, and society in general.
