MULTAN: The Nishtar Institute of Dentistry (NID) recently hosted a colourful event to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day, featuring stage performances and national songs.
The event was presided over by Dr Muhammad Amjad Bari, Principal, NID, and organised by Dr Muhammad Imran Bucha, AP Community Dentistry, Dr Jaffar Hussain Bukhari, AP Dental Materials
and Dr Mutahir Mehdi, AP Oral Biology, and attended by 1st and 2nd Year BDS students.
Featuring a variety of activities, the I-Day event included inspirational speeches, renditions of national songs, heartwarming poetry recitations, and an engaging Quiz competition.
On the occasion, a poignant skit was performed, depicting the journey towards independence.
The winners of the competition were awarded cash prizes and certificates, for their remarkable performances. A tableau presented by a group of students conveyed the profound message of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of the nation.
In the end, Dr Muhammad Amjad Bari shared his insightful perspective, stressing the importance of such events in inspiring the youth to comprehend and uphold the spirit and objectives of an independent homeland. He underscored the importance of directing attention towards the principles and ideals that Quaid-e-Azam ardently upheld for the younger generation.
