The 2nd sports gala organized by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto medical University, Islamabad. Out of 16 Gold Medals for various sports activities, Students of Islamabad Medical &Dental College bagged 12 Gold Medal and received best College Sports Trophy. They scored first position in badminton boys (Double, Single), table tennis boys (Double/Single), basketball (Boys/Girls), tug of war (Boys/Girls), relay race (Boys/ Girls) and 100/200 meter race (Boys). Students of IMDC won silver medals in table tennis Girls (Doubles), Badminton Girls (Single) and 200 Meter (Girls). Third position was scored by females student in badminton (Doubles). On the occasion of World Oral Health Day celebrated on 20th March, 2017 at Foundation University College of Dentistry, the 2nd year BDS students of Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC) performed wholeheartedly in the competition held between the dental colleges. The colleges included FUCD, Margalla College of Dentistry, IMDC, Islamic International Dental College and Federal Medical & Dental College. The students of IMDC scored second position in poster competition and second position in model competition based on oral health themes. The students were very glad for the opportunity to express their ideas on such a platform. Their efforts throughout the competition were vastly appreciated.
It was a great opportunity for the students of Islamabad Medical & Dental College to compete with other medical colleges and they really showed their best. Such types of activities are important part of the student life.
