Karachi: A Continuing Education Program was conducted by PDA Karachi at Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD), on 26th of June. The program commenced with an introductory speech given by Asstt. Prof. Dr. Uzma Zareef of LCMD, followed by a welcome speech by the Vice Principal of LCMD - Dr. Naheed Najmi.
The president of PDA Karachi - Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi gave the details of the activities and educational programs planned by the PDA Karachi. He expressed his pleasure while mentioning about the previous successful events conducted by PDA and was elated to discuss the future plans too.
During this learning program, three speakers enlightened the participants with their insightful presentations, namely;

Dr. Talha discussed about the management of fear and anxiety of patients at dental clinics during treatment. He also highlighted ways to control the fear of patient before the procedure.
Dr. Erum Munir elaborated on the importance of Atrophic and mandibular ridge during final impression, and how to hold the patient with your experienced hand.
Dr. Afshan highlighted the importance of laser screening in oral cancer and how this can improve the survival rate. She also showed very interesting clinical cases in her lecture, with proper diagnosis and treatment of these cases.
At the end of the event, the executive members of PDA Karachi distributed shields among the speakers. The prominent guests of the programme included; Dr. Aizaz Khan, Dr. Ahmed Bari, Dr. Aqeel Shiekh (Vice President of PDA Khi).
