GENEVA: FDI World Dental Federation has recently collaborated with the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO) to develop a mobile application that assists health professionals in managing oral complications resulting from cancer therapy. Unilever Oral Care/Zendium has been supporting the development of this app.

FDI and ISOO would develop an educational mobile app-based learning tool to guide health professionals in handling oral complications that might arise due to cancer treatment. The app has been scheduled to be launched next year.

The mobile app has been developing against the backdrop of FDI's project 'Oral health and Cancer: Collaborative Care and Patient Education', which oncology experts and different health professionals would use.

International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO) has been an independent, not-for-profit organization established to promote scientific knowledge among healthcare professionals in oncology, cytotoxic therapy, and its impact on the oral environment.
