KARACHI: A contempt of court petition has been filed against the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) director general for failing to deseal the dental clinic of former president Dr. Arif Alvi despite a Sindh High Court order.
The petition was submitted by Dr. Alvi’s wife, accusing the SBCA and other officials of disregarding the court’s directive to immediately deseal the clinic.
The Sindh High Court has issued notices to the parties involved and sought replies from SBCA officials and others by December 9.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer argued that the court had explicitly directed the SBCA to remove the seal on the dental clinic, yet the order remains unimplemented.
The court has also requested further arguments regarding whether the case should be referred to a regular bench for a hearing.
