DN Report KARACH- Under the shadow of Dr Ambrina Qureshi, HoD of preventive dentistry the community dentistry department of DIKIOHS organized a free dental checkups camp at "Bright star public school" Maripur. The main objective of the organizer is to promote, awareness about the oral health diseases and proper brushing techniques. The camp provides oral health examinations and restorative treatments, apprising about oral health diseases to the thousands of school children. Dr. Narendar Dawani, Assistant professor and Administrative co-coordinator, supervised final year Class of, Bachelor in Dental Hygienists (BDH), along with other lecturers of community dentistry .The camp, offered free dental treatment such as fissure sealants and A traumatic restorative procedures. The sole aim behind all these activities was to spread awareness about oral health and provide better treatments through the dental hygienists to unnerved population. Teachers would be well informed with the importance of oral hygiene & then they can better educate their students as well as their parents. So in this way , we can overall improve the status of oral hygiene in the area of " kudakiBasti " He also thanked the cooperation of Dr Shigri, Head of Community Dentistry Dept.for organizing such an informative Program.---PR
