Karachi: A welcome party for 1st year BDS was organized and hosted by the students of 2nd year BDS, themed ‘Starry Night’. In accordance with the theme, girls were perfectly dressed up in trendy spectacular formal apparels, whereas boys were attired in trendy suiting.
The event took place in the courtyard of BUMDC. The function comprised of fabulous performances and fun activities like dedicating humorous titles to the students. The highlight of the event was a solo dance performance by Chaudhry Aizaz Tahir, 2nd year BDS. Leeza Tarar and Hareem Raza of 1st year BDS gave soulful singing performances that captivated the audience.
The Faculty members also attended the function including, Principal Dental Section, Prof. Dr. Wahab Kadri, Dr.Beenish Fatima Alam, Dr.Ayesha Qamar, Dr.Yasmeen Mehar, Dr. Mehreen Lateef and many others. A lavish dinner was served followed by cake cutting ceremony and lighting up party sparklers. The hosts surprised the 1st year students, by giving them customized shields, with a title stating, ‘Dentist To Be.’
This spectacular evening concluded by pronouncing Amir Zafar and Iqra, as the Lord and Lady of the evening, respectively.
It was undoubtedly, a fun filled, memorable night for all the students.
