KARACHI: Dow Dental College Students' Association (DDCSA) recently conducted an Oral Cancer Awareness Campaign at Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Karachi.
Dr Saaduddin Siddiqui, Head of Oral Medicine and Diagnosis Department, Dow Dental College (DDC), DUHS, and Dr Chandar Kumar, Chairperson, Department of Periodontology, DUHS, supervised the campaign. This event's organising and management team also include Dr Lovekesh Kumar, Dr Syed Kashif Abrar, and other team members of DDCSA.
Almost 100 dental students volunteered in this massive campaign and reached more than 600 people at CHK, DUHS, and surrounding areas. They referred the suspected patients to the Out Patient Department (OPD) of DDC for a free consultation.
Dr Muhammad Asad, President, DDCSA, said that the association aimed to continue the education of our society regarding oral cancer and oral hygiene through awareness campaigns and outreaches in the future.
