ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) should re-conduct the MDCAT test through renowned universities, National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination recently suggested.
MNA Khalid Hussain Magsi chaired the committee meeting, which focused on the irregularities reported during and after the MDCAT test. The firm which carried MDCAT had no previous experience in conducting such tests, the meeting pointed out. Therefore, the standing committee also recommended blacklisting the firm.
The committee also discussed the current issues of PMC and MDCAT in detail. Medical students' representatives who were also part of the meeting raised their objections and showed displeasure over NLE conducted by PMC.
