KARACHI: Dr Christian Turner, the UK high commissioner to Pakistan, has recently confirmed that Pakistan's NADRA vaccine certificate would now be accepted in the UK to travel without quarantine. The UK has also removed Pakistan from the red list after being on the no-travel list for five months.

The UK's COVID-19 rules would about to change, allowing anyone vaccinated by one of the four approved vaccines by London to travel to the UK without quarantine or self-isolation. However, Chinese vaccines have not been there on the list.

The UK would accept vaccinations by Pfizer, Astra-Zeneca, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson from travellers around the world who have not been from the red-list countries.

Dr Turner said that he was going through the process of formally allowing the two governments to acknowledge each other's vaccination certificates, and that might take a couple more days. He further added, " In October, you would be able to turn up in London and, if you have had those vaccines, show your NADRA certificate and be absolutely fine. It does not matter where it's administered. You have very good certificates; here you show that, and you would be fine."
