KARACHI: The Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry (LCMD) recently organized a workshop on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into lesson planning to develop a systematic approach to content delivery for effective learning.
The workshop was conducted by LCMD Principal Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi and AI Committee Chairperson Prof. Dr. Tahera Ayub, in collaboration with the Department of Health Professions Education (DHPE).
The workshop highlighted the AI tools’ potential to improve lesson planning by automating the process and personalising the learning experience.
Facilitators Dr. Sabaa Shahid, Ayesha Khurram, and Araib Tahir emphasised the importance of structured lesson planning and presented various templates before the participants.
In the latter part of the workshop, the participants were acquainted with AI tools and their application in education, while they developed their own lesson plans using these tools.
The participants’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive, as they developed a deeper understanding of lesson planning, the effectiveness of different templates, and the practical implementation of AI.
The workshop successfully demonstrated how AI can make lesson planning more efficient and engaging to improve teaching strategies and student outcomes.
