PESHAWAR- Dr Fazal Ghani Professor of Prosthodontics at Khyber College of Dentistryhas retired after a distinguished career.
He has now joined as Professor of Prosthodontics, Dean PG Dental Studies & International Coordinator at Peshawar Dental College Peshawar.
- During his distinguished career Professor Fazal Ghani who is a PhD (London), FDSRCPS Glasgow, FRSM (UK), MSc (London), BDS, BSc (Pesh) has held many important posts and handled various high profile assignments. His distinguished careers includes being founder Editor -in- Chief, Journal of The Pakistan Prosthodontics Association (JPPA), Immediate Past President of the Pakistan Prosthodontics Association (PPA).
- He has the honour of being the first Pakistani Dental Teacher as Member of the Panel of Examiners for MFDS Examinations of the Dental Faculty at The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow (UK) since 2004 till 2019, he is also the Member in the Committee for Short Life Services Working Group (SLSWG) of the royal college of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow (UK) for the Term 2014-17, Member Faculty of Prosthodontics & Examiner & Training Supervisor for FCPS Prosthodontics Program of the CPSP and has trained 18 FCPS TMOs in Prosthodontics with 31 more in their various training years and stages, Extensive publication experience of more than 100 papers and reviewing experience of more than 150 Manuscripts in national and international journals including British Dental Journal, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (USA), European Journal Prosthodontics & Restorative Dentistry (UK), Journal of Japan Prosthodontics Society (Japan), Journal of Prosthodontics (USA), JCPSP, JPDA, JPPA as well as Authored a Textbook on Complete Dentures, Member of the Advisory Committees and Boards of Reviewers for many national and international journals including Journal of Prosthodontics (USA), Journal of Oral Rehabilitation (UK), European Journal of Prosthodontics (Turkey), African Journal of Public Health and Epidemiology (AJPHE), Journal of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (JCPSP), Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences (PJMS), Journal of Dow University of Health Sciences (JDUHS), Journal of Postgraduate Medical Institute (JPMI), annals of King Edward Medical University Journal (AKEMU), Journal of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (JLUMHS) and Kohat Medical Journal (KMJ) & Journal of Pakistan Medical Association (JPMA), Presented research & Keynote lectures at 70 national & international meeting & conferences including BSSPD (UK), BSDR (UK) & IADR (USA), Asian Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders (AACMD, Japan) and Convener of the Expert Panel of Oral Health and Member of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of The Pakistan Medical Research Council (PMRC).
