KARACHI: The Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) recently marked its Third Annual Research Day by organising podium presentation and poster contests among outstanding students of six universities (including AIDM) to promote innovation, discovery, and collaboration.
The Third Annual Research Day marked a triumphant celebration of innovation, discovery, and fruitful collaboration. This event commenced with an inaugural address by our esteemed chief guest, Prof. Dr. Ambreen Afzal, Dean of Academics at AIDM, and Councillor at CPSP.
The significance of this occasion was further amplified by the presence of distinguished figures, including Prof. Dr. Hasnain Sakrani, Principal of AIDM, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Altamash, President of AIDM, and Dr. Shaheena Altamash, our esteemed Chief Executive. Alongside them, Dr. Sara Altamash graced the event with her esteemed presence.
The event showcased diverse and groundbreaking researches conducted by the participants who presented their work on cutting-edge scientific advancements to groundbreaking social science inquiries.
The AIDM’s Third Annual Research Day was an inter-university competition among the participants belonging to Aga Khan University, Baqai Medical University, Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Jinnah Sindh Medical University, and Dow University of Health Sciences.
AIDM Research Development and Review Cell Head Prof Dr Naseer Ahmed was the moving force behind the event.
Dr Maria Shakoor Abbas, Dr Shaur Sarfaraz, Dr Beenish Fatim, Dr Resham Nadeem and the AIDM house officers also handled the event exceptionally well under Prof Dr Naseer Ahmed’s guidance and leadership.
The podium ppresentation contest was won by Dr Fakeha Azhar Syed from Aga Khan University, while Dr Batool Sajjad from AIDM was the runner up.
Similarly, the poster competition was won by Dr Baynita Khalid, Dr Nabeeha Naqvi and Dr Laveeza Kashif from Bahria University and Dental College, Health Sciences whereas Dr Maria Ghani from AIDM was declared runner up.
A momentous highlight of the day was the distribution of shields to the outstanding participants and victors of the event, a gesture that underscored the commitment and dedication of our researchers and their contributions to the advancement of knowledge and academic excellence.
The event emphasized that research is not merely a process; it is the lifeblood of progress, the driving force behind innovation, and the key to unraveling the mysteries that shape our world.
