ISLAMABAD: Another case of the monkeypox virus has been confirmed in Pakistan, taking
the total number of such cases to three in the country.
The latest case has been confirmed in Sindh, which is the first in the province.
The National Institute of Health (NIH) officials say, without revealing the identity of the patient, that the case has been confirmed by the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Karachi.
Reportedly, the person testing positive for the monkeypox virus had arrived from abroad.
