JSMU gets CPSP nod for FCPS Microbiology training

KARACHI: The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has accorded accreditation to the Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) to offer FCPS training in Microbiology, acknowledging the high standards of the varsity’s program which meets the criteria set for the purpose.

JSMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon says, “This prestigious accreditation from CPSP is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff in building a world-class medical education program at JSMU. It will open up new opportunities for our students and strengthen Sindh’s healthcare ecosystem.”

Dr. Mehmood Hassan, Head of the JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory, says the FCPS training sessions will be held at the JSMU Diagnostic Lab under the supervision of Dr. Binish Arif, as per CPSP standards.

Dr. Dur Muhammad, Head of Pathology at Sindh Medical College, says, “We are committed to continually enhancing our programs to meet the evolving needs of the medical field and better serve the people of this province.”

To retain its accreditation, JSMU will undergo mandatory re-inspections every five years by a CPSP-registered supervisor, ensuring ongoing compliance and improvement.
