KARACHI: Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD) will commemorate Defence Day on 6th September with a series of engaging activities, including speech competitions, poster contests, and quizzes for staff and their families.
The event aims to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of Defence Day and the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan's armed forces in defending the nation. It also encourages the youth to uphold the country’s ideological values across all fields.
LCMD Chairman Senator Amir Waliduddin Chishti, along with Dr Ali Farhan, Vice Chairman, and Prof Dr Rashid Naseem Khan, Principal of the College of Medicine, will be among the guests.
The events will be held in the Shaheed Khalid Bin Waleed Auditorium, where cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000, and Rs 2,000 will be awarded to the winners of each competition.
The guests will also deliver speeches on the significance of Defence Day and present awards to the participants.
