Section XIII (China) and Section XV (including Pakistan) of the International College of Dentists (ICD), jointly organized the International Congress and Induction Ceremony in Macau, in collaboration with the Macau Dental Association. The theme of this congress was “The future of Dentistry now”.
There was an outstanding scientific program with 12 distinguished speakers from all over the world. A number of clinically relevant hands-on workshops with special focus on digital dentistry were organized for the participants.
This year, around 35 dental surgeons were selected from Pakistan, and were exclusively invited by the ICD Headquarters to receive their honorary fellowship awards. The Pakistani delegate led by Regent, Prof. Dr. Arshad Malik attended their induction ceremony and participated in the Continuing Professional Development workshops and conference.
Prof. Dr. Arshad Malik (Regent ICD Section XV) conducted a workshop on “Management of atypical oro-facial pain,” alongside presenting the country report.
Dr. Benish Zubair Khan (Secretary and Deputy Editor ICD Section XV) presented her enlightening talk on “One Belt One Road” forum; titled, ‘Highlighting the strategic importance of CPEC in Dentistry.’
