PESHAWAR: The students of Gandhara University (GU) participated in the 7th Pakistan Association for Dental Research (PADR) and 8th Pakistan Prosthodontic Association (PPA) annual conference, which was held recently in Lahore.
Before the annual conference, the Prosthodontics Department of GU organised two workshops. Dr Asif Qureshi, Dr Ehtesham Khan and Dr Faisal Ihsan conducted the first workshop on Digital Smile Design. The Second Workshop was conducted by Dr Mohammad Ali Chughtai and Dr Mariya Khalid on Naso-alveolar Moulding. The workshops received positive feedback.
Both undergraduate and postgraduate students of GU applied as delegates. A few of them also participated in the poster and quiz competitions. Dr Roheela and Dr Ayesha secured 3rd position in the poster competition. The topic of their presentation was 'Fabrication of Ocular Prosthesis'. Moreover, Ibn Ali, Rumeena and Suleman secured 3rd position in the quiz competition after beating the participants from Dow University of Health Sciences and Fatima Memorial University.
Dr Nasir Salim, Chairman Scientific Committee, PPA, appreciated the aforementioned workshops on the closing ceremony of the PPA annual conference.
GU has expressed gratitude to Dr Hina Zafar Raja, President PPA, and Dr Nasir Salim for successfully organizing the conference.
