KARACHI: The Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) has established a patients' complaint cell in the hospital to resolve patients and their attendant's complaints concerning the hospital's functioning.
Executive Director, JPMC, Dr Seemin Jamali, said the complaints cell had been set up in the institution. Additionally, 16 complaints and suggestions boxes are also being installed in different wards, including the accident and emergency department.
She said that patients and their attendants could lodge their complaints against doctors, paramedics, nurses, and other staff if any concerning any matter. She informed that visitors could also give their suggestions to bring improvements in patient care. She said all hospital-related complaints would be resolved at the earliest basis.
Dr Seemin further informed that the aim of introducing the complaints system in the health facility was to improve coordination between the patients and the medical staff. She said that anyone could lodge a complaint against the hospital's overall functioning, including the behavior of staff, availability of life-saving drugs, unethical medical practice, and others.
