ABBOTTABAD: The Department of Periodontology, Frontier Medical and Dental College (FMDC), Abbottabad recently arranged a two-day symposium on Dental Implantology.
Dr Zaheer Hussain, Head Of Department of Periodontology, Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) and an Implantologist, was invited from Karachi. Dr Jodat Askari, Principal, Dental College, FMDC and Brig. Prof. Dr Azad, President, Pakistan Prosthodontic Association, delivered lectures on Dental Implant prosthetics.
After lecture sessions, Dr Zaheer Hussain and Dr Noor Ul Amin gave a hands-on session to students on basic surgical skills. Students were taught to place dental implants on models. This activity was aimed at providing basic knowledge of Oral Implantology.
