LAHORE: Under the Prime Minister Digital Pakistan Vision, Health Minister recently inaugurated the online system of drug sale licencing.
Officials from the Primary and Secondary Healthcare, Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association (PPMA), Pakistan Retailers and Chemists Association and Pharmacy Association were present.
Health Minister Yasmin Rashid said that under Prime Minister Imran Khan's Digital Pakistan Vision, the government introduced a system of automation in Punjab to facilitate people.
She said, "People will be registered online for issuing and renewing drug licences through the Centralized Drug Licencing Public Portal. After a physical inspection of the place, the licence will be available for applicants online through the dashboard portal. The portal will end the prospects of long queues and delays. For any query or guidance, people may contact 1033. The applicant may get online guidance on online licencing."
Hanif Khan Pitafi, Adviser to Cheif Minister, said the online portal would help stop the sale of medicines without a prescription.
