Invisalign® Expands Its Global Reach

Dubai: Invisalign MEA DMCC, a subsidiary of Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN) and provider of the leading Invisalign clear aligner brand, today announced it would be extending its global reach by opening its first regional office in the Middle East based in Dubai. With over 5 million patients who have started treatment, the Invisalign system is a modern, digitally based approach to straighten teeth with a series of custom-made aligners.

Over the last several years, the Middle East and African orthodontic market has grown steadily as the importance of dental health has increased among the general population of over 700 thousand. Today, the Middle East region is estimated to have nearly 440 thousand new orthodontic case starts each year. As of 2016, the Middle East and African orthodontic supply market is valued at US$266 million and set to grow at a CAGR of 8.6 per cent to reach US$309 million by 2021, according to Market Data Forecast. This is in alignment with the global orthodontics supplies market set to grow from US$3.4 billion in 2016 to US$5.9 billion in 2023, according to Research and Markets.
