KARACHI: President Arif Alvi recently came out positive for COVID-19 amid fears of the fifth pandemic wave exacerbated by the Omicron variant.
The president confirmed on his official Twitter, "I have tested positive for COVID again. I had a sore throat for 4-5 days and was getting better."
He said he felt mildly feverish two nights ago and had no other symptoms. Meanwhile, he urged people to take precautions and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
President Alvi was infected with this contagious disease in March 2021 as well.
