Pakistan Association of Orthodontists (PAO) in collaboration with IMDC conducted a one-day preparatory course. The scope of the course included exam overview, TOACS, and self-treated case preparation for both FCPS and MDS part II exam.
17 eminent mentors facilitated the course from different centers in Rawalpindi, Abbottabad and Islamabad. Prof. Haroon Shahid Qazi, Prof. Amjad Mehmood, Prof. Ulfat Bashir, Prof. Rozina Nazir, Dr Lt. Col Abdullah Jan, Dr Afeef Umar Zia, Dr Waheed Ullah Khan, Dr Rabbab Hasan, Dr Kausar Ilyas, Dr Amaar Pasha, Dr Sadia Naureen, Dr Kanwal Zulfikar, Dr Amra Minhas Abid, Dr Ahmed Hasan, Dr Rizwan, Dr Zara and Dr Amber Saeed Khan were the facilitators for the activity.
The activity started with lectures about how to approach the viva component of exam. This was later followed by a mock Exam of TOACS, after which candidates were given feedback about their performance. Candidates brought their exam cases and viva was conducted on those cases by the facilitators.
The candidates were given feedback to help improve their case presentation. This activity was attended by 65 residents from all over Pakistan. The purpose of the activity was to provide academic guidance for the FCPS/MDS residents.
