ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is now "very close" to fulfilling its vaccine objective, demonstrating the efficiency of the government's policy to inoculate residents against coronavirus.

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, recently said on Twitter that 100 million individuals had been fully vaccinated across the country.

According to Umar, the chief of the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), the national vaccination programme has hit a significant milestone.

He went on to say that at least one dosage of the anti-COVID vaccine had been given to more than 127 million Pakistanis.

Moreover, the World Health Organization (WHO) also praised Pakistan for vaccinating 100 million people against COVID-19.

"The WHO applauds Govt of Pakistan for having over 100 million individuals fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus," the WHO tweeted.
