KARACHI: Fatima Jinnah Dental College (FJDC) celebrated World Oral Health Day with students of the Jinnah Foundation School to spread awareness regarding oral hygiene and the maintenance of oral health.
FJDC students and faculty acted as ambassadors and implemented the college’s community-centered goals.
Jinnah Foundation Trustee Mrs Naseem Liaquat Merchant collaborated with the FJDC for the event, where Ziauddin College of Dentistry Dean Prof Dr Mervyn Hosein was the chief guest, who shared his knowledge on oral health with the students and provided them guidance on related issues.
Volunteers from the 30th and 31st batches of FJDC arranged role-plays, podcasts, face painting, a poster competition and also provided guidance to the schoolchildren regarding correct brushing and flossing techniques.
Dr Mervyn Hosein and Dr. Sameer Qureshi, Head of FJDC Prosthodontics Department participated as speakers in the Podcast.
An exciting performance by Dum Dum the Clown was also arranged by Dr Hussain Askary, CEO and Head of Community Dentistry-FJDC, for the children.
Giveaways for the children were sponsored by the Shield Corporation.
