Signing Out Ceremony of Director General

“Every Ending Has a New Beginning”


KARACHI - 29th December 2017, was marked in the calendar as the last working day of Vice Admiral (Retd.) Tahseen Ullah Khan HI (M) Director General BUMDC and handing over of the command to new Director General Rear Admiral Imtiaz Ahmad HI(M).


A small ceremony was held in Ibn-e-Sina Auditorium. It was hosted by Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi, Vice Principal Dental College. The ceremony was attended by Dr Ambreen Usmani Acting Dean and Principal Medical College BUMDC, Dr Wahab Kadri Principal Dental College, Dr Khalid AzizVice Principal DPT and all the faculty members and paramedical staff.


The ceremony started with recitation of Holy Quran by Ali Arsalan, final year student. It was followed by words of appreciation and gratitude for Vice Admiral (Retd.) Tahseen Ullah Khan HI (M), Director General by Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi Vice Principal Dental Section. She called upon Dr. Ambreen Usmani Acting Dean and Principal BUMDC who cherished the achievements of Director General in a short span of three years. Other faculty members were then asked to say a few words in the honour of the Director General. Dr. Mehreen took up this opportunity to explain theproblems she had in establishing the MDRL and the efforts of Director General in making its establishment possible to provide a research platform for postgraduate students. Dr. Khalid Aziz also spoke up about Director General’s efforts for establishing the college of DPT. Prof Dr. Wahab Kadri shared his own experience about working under the Director General, who has been a constant guide for him. He has been on forefront throughout his tenure and led his team to success.


A video tribute was played to recognize and acknowledge his untiring efforts and work for the development of BUMDC. He was then invited on stage to share his feelings about the time spent in university. He appreciated his fellow team members for all their work and efforts for taking BUMDC to new heights. He advised everyone to own the university and work hard to make it progress further. He then introduced the new Director General to all the heads, faculty and staff and wished him luck.
