RAWALPINDI: Margalla Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) recently conducted a full-day workshop titled "Tips and Tricks of Wire Bending". The workshop was a part of the 8th International PAO Conference 'Exploring advanced perspectives in Orthodontics 2021'.
Up to 50 postgraduate students from all over Pakistan participated in the workshop. The workshop aimed at enlightening the residents about basic concepts of intrusion arches, mechanics with T-loops for anterior retraction and Mulligan mechanics.
The worthy speakers for the interactive lectures session were Prof. Dr Amjad Mehmood, Principal MIHS; Prof Dr Haroon Qazi, Principal, Islamabad Dental College and Hospital; and Prof. Dr Afeef Umar Zia, Professor and Head of Orthodontics Department, MIHS. Lectures were followed by a hands-on session on wire bending.
Dr Abdul Qadir, Chairman, MIHS, gave shields to the speakers at the concluding ceremony.
