KARACHI- Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) recently started a massive registration drive across the Sindh district.
Directorate of Licensing and Accreditation, SHCC has launched a massive registration drive in Sindh in which higher officials are visiting healthcare facilities daily.
The team visited District Sujawal and checked 35 healthcare facilities. The officials explained the registration and licensing process to doctors in these visits, which included providing registration and provisional license forms with fee structure.
As per the SHCC Section 13 Act, a healthcare service provider should not provide healthcare services without registering with SHCC. Moreover, the unregistered healthcare facility would be considered illegal.
Dr Altaf Hussain Khawaja, Director Licensing and Accreditation, SHCC, said that there was a need to accelerate the registration process of healthcare facilities without which such facilities would be deemed illegal and hence set with fines.
