KARACHI: The Karachi Medical & Dental College (KMDC) recently organized a series of activities, including a seminar, a long walk and a filter clinic in a bid to promote oral health awareness in the community.
The day-long engaging activities were led by KMDC Vice Principal and Head of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Sheeraz Hussain, and the CPD team.
The event featured a seminar highlighting the importance of oral health, where KMDC Principal Dr. Nargis Anjum, Prof. Dr. Sheeraz Hussain, and Prof. Dr. Zahid Ali, Academic in charge at KMDC delivered informative speeches.
These speakers, along with Dr. Abdul Aleem from the Department of Community Dentistry, shed light on the profound impact of oral health on overall well-being.
It also featured a long walk, symbolizing the journey towards better oral hygiene and health practices, participated by students, faculty members, and local community members.
The activities also included an on-site filter clinic to help patients needing dental services and consultations. It addressed patients’ immediate dental care needs and educated them about preventive oral health measures.
