ASIA PACIFIC DENTAL CONGRESS BRINGS SMILES TO DUBAI
The world of dentistry will take a peek beyond the new horizons of technology and science, as globally leading dentists and allied dental professionals gather in Dubai soon, to share knowledge and raise the bar in dental excellence.
Leading dentists from the Middle East and North Africa region will be assembling in Dubai on 17th till 19th of June, 2014 to make the 36th Asia Pacific Dental Congress – (APDC 2014) a resounding success. The deliberations are aimed at sharing the latest scientific advancements and technological research in dentistry to enhance the smiles of the whole world. The event will be held on June 17-19 at the Dubai World Trade Center. Comprising of insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing meetings enabling interactions with leading dental experts.
“The commitment of the congress to offer high-quality continued dental education at an affordable cost is unequivocal,” says APDC 2014 Chairperson Dr Aisha Sultan Alsuwaidi. “Keynote speakers have been invited to share their knowledge and expertise in the various fields of dentistry and, in addition to the scientific program, an international trade exhibition will showcase the latest trends and technologies in the dental sciences”.
Dr Oliver Hennedige, Secretary General of the Asia Pacific Dental Federation, adds that, “for three days, participants will attend scientific sessions on implant dentistry, aesthetics, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and the other dental disciplines during which clinical cases from each field will be presented. This interactive communication will be followed by a cross-examination that allows objective evaluation from attendees. Now that the practice of dentistry has achieved the attention it deserves as a vital part of the total well-being of an individual, ‘Improving Quality of Life through Better Dental Care’ is an appropriate theme for the event”.
The massive Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center complex of meeting and exhibition space, hotels and boutiques, is strategically located between new and old Dubai, a combination of traditional and historical souks, vibrant local shops and an old residential area on one side, and skyrocketing hotels and commercial towers on the other.
As Dr Alsuwaidi notes, “this is the first time since its inception in 1955 that the Asia Pacific Dental Federation is holding its annual congress in the Middle East, and Dubai is all geared up to make the event a memorable one”. For many participants, this will be their first trip to the Middle East, and the congress presents a rare opportunity for dental practitioners to not only stay on the cutting edge of their field, but to spend a few days in one of the world’s cutting-edge business and leisure centers as well.
APDC 2014 is organized by the Asia Pacific Dental Federation, United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health, Emirates Medical Association and Emirates Dental Society.
