KARACHI- A great gala was recently organized and enjoyed by the students and faculty of Hamdard College of Medicine and Dentistry (HCMD), Dental Section. This Spring Festival comprised of a comprehensive array of eateries and activities. All departments of the dental college contributed to its organization. Gol-gappas, hand football and chilled gola-ganda stalls were set up by the orthodontic department. Whereas the periodontology department was in charge of the chana chat, macaroni, fruit chat, lemonade, khattay aloo and burgers, and many desserts.
Stalls of mind games, henna, fish-spa, arm wrestling, and pirate ship was put up by the oral surgery department, while the operative department organized the song dedications and limka stalls. The prosthodontics department arranged for a carnival jail and an animal zone. The students planned and set up a creative selfie booth to add to the fun.
Following the activities and food feasting during the first half of the day, the gala then turned into a music and dance festival with a range of entertainment stalls. The event was well-organized and immensely enjoyable for everyone who took part in it. It was a much needed break from the hectic routine of dental academic life for all.
