Karachi; Every year, Community Dentistry’s Head of Department Dr. Maria K. Siddiqui and team of lecturers, Dr. Seema Shahid and Dr. Asim Iqbal organize various oral health promotional series in various institutions and set ups of Karachi.
Following the tradition, the department kicked-off the year with its health promotion program, including community visits to schools, lecture series and free dental check-up camps.
Recently, The City School PAF Chapter (Pre Junior Section), celebrated their open day, ‘Health is Happiness’ where the team of Community Dentistry Department, JMDC were invited to conduct free dental health assessment for their students and parents.
JMDC’s dental team alongside 2nd year BDS students, organized a free dental camp in the school, following distribution of free dental goody bags.
Their efforts were highly appreciated by Sir Simon Glasson, Principal PAF Chapter. He thanked JMDC’s team on behalf of the whole school.
The day was concluded on a note that, ‘Only Brushing Your Teeth Twice is not enough. Correct brushing technique plays a primary role in fighting against tooth decay.”
