Karachi: The Community Dentistry department of Baqai Dental College arranged a workshop to commemorate its Silver Jubilee year 2014, with a community-based visit at Froebel’s Schoolon the 5th& 6ThNovember, 2014.It was a two day program, headed by Dr.Asghar Ali Shigri and Dr.Mumtaz Khan. Participants included; Dr Samreen &Dr Mehwish – as the House Officers.
Dr Aneeqa Shahab, Dr Fatima Akhter, Dr Maham Altaf, Dr Mehak Afzal, Dr Ali Hussain &Dr Akif Ali were also a part of this workshop, where more than 200 students aged from 8 – 12 were examined for prevalence of dental caries and periodontal disease, through the basic examination instrument (Mirror,tweezers, probe, etc.) The students at Froebel’s were taught healthy eating habits along with oral hygiene instructions &proper brushing techniques.
