KARACHI – Hamdard Medical and Dental College, Dental Section, prides itself upon regularly organizing and conducting monthly CME activities in its “FCPS Journal Club”. The club was recently established to promote continuing dental education and keep students up to date with the latest trends and findings of dentistry and all its related disciplines. The CME FCPS Journal Club activities for the month of October were organized by the college’s departments of Operative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
Two presentations were conducted by members of the Operative Department, namely by Dr Hina Nafees - R3 & Dr Saad Marfani R-1, while two further presentations were delivered by members of Prosthodontics department Dr Mehwish R-2 & Dr Rameez R-1. The presentations highlighted the current international and national clinical trends in Operative & Prosthetic Dentistry. The session was attended by senior faculty members, FCPS trainees, lecturers as well as House Officers. Dr Abrar, the Head of Department of Operative Dentistry, and Dr Mehmood, Head of Department of Prosthodontics, conducted a detailed interactive question answer session with a prolonged discussion on the various trends with the audience. Dr Nadeem, Principal Dental Section of Hamdard Dental College appreciated the efforts of both departments in regularly promoting CME activities at Hamdard Dental College.
