SWAT: Carvaan Foundation recently organised a camp under Project Smile in collaboration with KPK Development Corporation, Luqman International Hospital, Saidu Medical and Dental College, and The Torwali. The camp titled 'Orphan Care Camp' was held at the Parwarish orphanage in Mingora.

More than twenty young doctors and dentists provided volunteer medical services in a medical and dental camp to about 400 orphan children in Swat.

Dr Mahnoor Shahid Khan, a young doctor, founded Carvaan to aid poor and deprived citizens by providing them medical and dental care. According to her, Carvaan was the first Pakistani nonprofit dental organisation solely working for Pakistan's poor and marginalised community.
