PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa home department has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) scheduled for November 26.

To ensure a fair and secure examination environment, mobile phone jammers will be installed in the examination centres to prevent any attempt at cheating during the test.

The department has outlined comprehensive SOPs for the MDCAT, which is expected to be taken by 46,220 students across 7 centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Moreover, to check any form of malpractice, the paper will be transferred from Khyber Medical University to the examination hall under police supervision.

A strict ban will be enforced on carrying mobile phones, books, and electronic devices within 100 meters of the examination halls.

The department has announced heightened security measures to be implemented at Khyber Medical University five days before the examination.

As per the SOPs, every university employee will be under close monitoring, walk-through gates will be installed in all examination halls, and Section 144 will be enforced around all examination centers to maintain a secure environment for the candidates.
