QUETTA: The Bolan Medical College’s Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry recently organised an Oral Health Awareness session at Balochistan Residential School, Sariab, Quetta.

The event was conducted by BDS second-year students under the supervision of Dr. Ashfaq Khawaja Khail, Associate Professor and Head of Department, alongside Dr. Erum Sami, Senior Lecturer, Dr. Mahesh Kumar, Dr. Fazal Babar, Dr. Azad Khan, Dr. Mehwish Jaffrey, Dr. Ayesha Ajmal, and Dr. Waheed.

Speaking at the event, Dr Khail highlighted the significance of school-based oral health initiatives in promoting positive oral hygiene habits.

Presentations focused on the importance of oral hygiene, balanced diets, and the prevention of dental caries and oral cancer.

To reinforce these lessons, oral hygiene supplies, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, were distributed among students.

The school administration praised the efforts of the second-year students for making the session a success.
