LAHORE: The 40th meeting of the Administrative and Academic Advisory Committee (AAAC) recently held at the University of Health Sciences (UHS) City Campus, deliberated on key issues and strategies for the institution's continued progress.
Chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore, the meeting was attended by prominent academic and administrative heads from the UHS.
A highlight of the meeting was a detailed presentation on the UHS Experimental Research Lab, which included a proposal for supplying surplus laboratory animals, such as mice and albino rats, to other universities and research institutions. This initiative is aimed at fostering inter-institutional collaboration and strengthening research capabilities across the academic sector while maximizing the efficient use of resources available at the UHS lab.
Another significant agenda item was the plan to upgrade audio-visual equipment in the university's halls and committee rooms, frequently used for workshops, conferences, and meetings to enhance communication and engagement.
The AAAC meeting concluded with resolutions to strengthen UHS's research infrastructure and improve facilities to better serve both academic and administrative functions.
